Each year I help out as a volunteer teacher for JCCC's chapter of Girls Who Code. Our group is pretty free form and we ask the students what they'd like to learn about so usually there ends up being a web development group and a game development group. We meet once a week, the past two school years via Zoom (though formerly on campus).
The web group is usually ran by my friend and former UMKC classmate Abbey and I have been running the gamedev group and writing custom lessons based around the students' interests.
Lesson pages Since we use REPL.IT for the students to create their projects with, I also used it to create lesson webpages. This is a central resource where students can read through the lessons and go back and reference them afterwards as well. I know it can be hard to keep up with everything and remember everything!
Student games
At the end of the school year in May the students present what they've worked on and it's so cool to see what they've learned over time. In particular, I just wanted to share some screenshots of a few of the games the students in my gamedev group worked on! :)
Brickbreaker in Scratch
Demon Slayer game in Scratch
Frogger game in Scratch
